ZOUWE Inspire was designed in response to rapidly changing expectations of home office furniture accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic. The challenge was to design an affordable, technical task chair that is more appropriate to consumers in the home-office setting, as well as to businesses in the workplace setting.

For decades, the ergonomic chair has had a particular look, often defined by complex structures, mesh backrests and bright bold colours. This aesthetic is accepted in the corporate office environments but, as more people consider purchasing task chairs for their home offices, they find a lack of options for more gentle aesthetics. Inspire seeks to break new ground in the technical chair sector, defining a better balance between the mindsets of home and work
